“He got everything wrong from his first tenure”- Palmer Criticizes Kurt Okraku’s Administration
Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer, the owner and bankroller of Tema Youth Football Club, has launched a scathing critique of Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku’s tenure, accusing him of making several missteps that have affected Ghana football negatively.
Speaking on Kurt Okraku’s administration, Palmer did not mince words about what he perceived as a disappointing reign.
“Kurt Okraku got everything wrong from his first tenure. If you take off with a bad start, you will finish badly,” Palmer stated on Asempa FM.
He pointed specifically to the decision to award the broadcasting rights for Ghana’s domestic league to StarTimes, a move he believes was detrimental to the progress and visibility of the league.
“He had so many decisions wrong from the start, including the decision to give StarTimes the right to broadcast our league,” Palmer added.
Palmer’s comments highlight frustrations among stakeholders about the current state of Ghana football, with many calling for a re-evaluation of administrative policies and strategies to revive the sport in the country.
