Felix Lartey Urges Team Ghana to Compete Fearlessly at Commonwealth Games
Former Ghana national table tennis champion Felix Lartey has sent an inspiring message to Team Ghana, urging the country’s athletes to compete with confidence and pride as they continue their campaign at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Lartey, one of Ghana’s most accomplished table tennis players, acknowledged the magnitude of the competition and encouraged the athletes to embrace the challenge of competing against some of the best sportsmen and women from across the Commonwealth.
The former champion described the Commonwealth Games as one of the world’s premier multi-sport events, stressing that success requires discipline, resilience and self-belief.
“I wish Team Ghana every success at the Commonwealth Games. It is one of the toughest competitions in the world, second only to the Olympic Games,” Lartey said.
He urged the athletes to carry the nation’s hopes with confidence every time they step into competition.
“Represent the nation with pride, determination and the belief that Ghana can compete with the very best,” he added.
As the competition enters its decisive stages, Team Ghana will be hoping to draw inspiration from Lartey’s encouragement while continuing to produce performances worthy of the nation’s rich sporting tradition.
