Ghanaian teen Ernest Nuamah has completed the first phase to his switch from the Danish top-flight to French Ligue I. He’s had his medicals done successfully ahead of move to Lyon.

The FC Nordsjælland forward on Tuesday is now a step away from making a sensational move to the French club this summer. Talks are done with the 19-year-old expected to put pen to paper on Wednesday.

Nuamah was courted by French giant’s PSG, alongside Tottenham Hotspur, Borussia Dortmund and a host of English clubs but Lyon have won the race to sign the teenage prodigy.

Nuamah has also agreed his personal terms with Lyon and will join on a loan deal with an option to buy.

Nordsjaelland will benefit from the club with a percentage agreed in Nuamah’s deal of future sale from Lyon.

Lyon are to pay nearly double of the €17million Rennes paid for Kamaldeen Sulemana which is the current Danish transfer record.

An amount range of €30million.

Break down, €25m fixed fee plus €5m add-ons. Loan with obligation to buy deal with contract running until June 2028.

He will be new record signing of Lyon.
