Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has taken a new step in his football journey after being unveiled as a member of the management team of Ghana Premier League side Aduana Stars.

The ex-Italy-based midfielder has been appointed as the club’s Pathway and External Relations Manager, a role designed to strengthen player development structures and expand Aduana’s presence beyond Ghana’s borders.

In his new capacity, Agyemang Badu is expected to help build systems that will enhance the growth of players at the Dormaa-based club, while also leveraging his experience and connections to open up opportunities locally and internationally.

Speaking to club officials, the former Udinese star expressed appreciation to Aduana’s bankroller, Nana Agyemang Badu II, as well as the club’s leadership, for the confidence reposed in him.

“First, I thank Nana Agyemang Badu II, the management, CEO Atta Poku and the technical team. I was able to monitor your last game. I am here to help the club succeed. What I know about football is when someone invest in the game, they have to benefit from it,” he said.

He stressed the importance of delivering quality on and off the pitch, insisting that strong output would reduce constant financial pressure on the club’s ownership.

“It is not always that CEO Atta Poku will go to Nana for support, we have to be able to deliver quality, and that quality could sell itself,” Agyemang Badu added.

Outlining his broader vision, the former midfielder highlighted his intention to strengthen Aduana’s networks while promoting the club’s identity.

“I have to create links out there. Although I have links out there, we need to create new ones as well. We need to sell the name Aduana,” he concluded.

Agyemang Badu began his career in Berekum before a brief spell at Asante Kotoko, eventually carving out a long and successful career in Europe. His return to Ghanaian football administration is seen as a significant boost for Aduana Stars as they seek growth both on and off the pitch.
