Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Ogum has lauded the performance of three youth players who featured in their 2-0 victory over Acceler8z FC in the MTN FA Cup Round of 32 on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Promising talent Vitus Avoka made his First Team debut as part of the starting lineup, while Jordan Amissah and Solomon Sah were introduced in the second half, showcasing their potential. All three have been instrumental in the club’s Osei Tutu II Youth Team.

Ogum was full of praise for the young players, emphasizing their potential and the importance of providing them with more opportunities to gain experience and confidence.

“With respect to the young guys, the youth team players, I think it was a good platform for them to showcase what they are capable of doing. They did well,” Ogum said in his post-match remarks. “I’m sure, as we give them similar or same opportunities to exhibit what they have in them, it will boost their confidence and determination to work harder in training and get more playing time when such opportunities come.”

The trio’s strong performance highlights the club’s commitment to youth development, as they continue to integrate emerging talents into the senior team.
