“Be offensive at home”- Augustine Arhinful to Otto Addo

Former Black Stars player, Augustine Arhinful has called on head coach Otto Addo to adopt a more attacking approach.

Ghana’s inability to secure consistent wins during their qualifiers, earning just three points from six matches against Angola, Sudan, and Niger could not qualify the four-time champions to the AFCON in Morocco next year.

Speaking to Joy Sports, Arhinful suggested to Otto Addo to play an attacking game especially during home matches, to address Ghana’s struggles on the international stage.

“Otto Addo is always conscious in his approach to the game. I always see him play two defensive midfielders, whether it’s an away game or a home game. So I would advise that when you are away, you can afford to play cautiously, but at home, you must be offensive.” He said.

The Black Stars will play their next games in March 2025 in their quest to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
