Abubakar Ouattara Reacts to Hearts of Oak’s Stalemate Against Samartex
Hearts of Oak head coach, Abubakar Ouattara, has shared his disappointment after his team’s three-game winning streak came to an end with a goalless draw against Samartex in the Ghana Premier League.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Ouattara admitted his side fell short of expectations, particularly in creating clear-cut opportunities to secure the victory.
“We wanted to win today, but unfortunately, we didn’t score. We didn’t create enough chances; we managed only one or two. Unfortunately, we didn’t play well enough to score,” he said.
The Phobians struggled to break down a resilient Samartex defense, and their attacking efforts were repeatedly thwarted by Samartex goalkeeper Kofi Baah, who delivered a standout performance.
“I think the goalkeeper of Samartex did well, especially with one or two crucial saves, particularly the last one,” Ouattara added, acknowledging Baah’s pivotal role in denying Hearts of Oak key scoring opportunities.
The draw ended Hearts of Oak’s three game winning streak. However the Phobians are hoping to bounce back in their next game,
