Former Asante Kotoko captain Danlad Ibrahim has thrown his weight behind his former club ahead of Sunday’s highly anticipated Super Clash against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The former Black Galaxies goalkeeper, who now plies his trade with Coffee SC in Ethiopia, remains emotionally invested in the Porcupine Warriors and believes they have what it takes to emerge victorious this weekend.

“This is a must-win for us,” Danlad confidently stated in an interview. “I’ve worked with Coach Zito and I know what he brings to the table. Kwame Opoku is back in form, and I believe he’ll score. Kotoko will win and keep a clean sheet.”

Kotoko currently sit higher than Hearts on the Ghana Premier League table and will be seeking to complete a season double over their Accra rivals, having edged them 1-0 in the reverse fixture.

Widely regarded as the fiercest rivalry in Ghanaian football, the Super Clash always delivers drama, passion, and pride. With both sides having plenty to play for — Kotoko in the hunt for the league title and Hearts desperate to regain form — Danlad’s endorsement adds to the growing anticipation.
