Nations FC have issued an emotional apology to their supporters after the club’s relegation from the Ghana Premier League was officially confirmed at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

Despite securing a narrow 1-0 victory over Karela United on the final day of the season, Nations FC were unable to escape the drop following unfavourable results elsewhere.

The club addressed fans shortly after the conclusion of the campaign, admitting disappointment over the outcome and acknowledging the frustration felt by everyone associated with the team.

“Following the conclusion of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, we regret to confirm our relegation to Division One,” the club stated.

“This is a very painful moment for everyone connected to the club, and we sincerely apologise to our fans, sponsors, partners and supporters for falling short this season.”

Nations FC also accepted responsibility for the disappointing campaign, conceding that the team’s efforts were ultimately not enough to maintain their place in the top flight.

“We take full responsibility for this outcome. Despite the effort and commitment shown, it was not enough to keep our place in the league.”

Although relegation marks a major setback for the club, management insists the focus has already shifted toward rebuilding and returning stronger in the near future.

“But this is not the end of our story. We will regroup, fight and work tirelessly to bring Nations FC back to where it belongs,” the statement added.

Nations FC join Hohoe United and Eleven Wonders among the teams relegated from the Ghana Premier League this season.

Attention will now turn to the MTN FA Cup final, where Nations FC are set to face Dreams FC. Victory in that contest would hand the club qualification to next season’s CAF Confederation Cup despite their relegation to Division One.
