Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh has shared his thoughts on his time with the Black Stars, expressing pride in representing Ghana despite his prolonged absence due to injury.

Kyereh, who opted to play for Ghana at the international level in 2021, has earned 18 caps for the senior national team. However, injuries have hindered his progress, keeping him out of action for over a year. The SC Freiburg midfielder last featured for the Black Stars in 2022 but remains deeply connected to the team.

Speaking about his time with the national squad, Kyereh revealed that one of his most cherished moments came during Ghana’s qualification campaign for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

“Some of my most memorable moments playing for Ghana are etched in my heart forever. I vividly recall the electrifying atmosphere in the stadium during a crucial qualifier—a moment when the roar of the crowd felt like a powerful force, lifting us all as one united team,” Kyereh told Rolling Stone.

He further emphasized how the passion of Ghanaian fans fuels his love for the national team.

“Every cheer, every drumbeat resonated deeply with my identity and reminded me why I fight on the field. These moments aren’t just about winning matches; they’re about the shared passion and pride that connects every Ghanaian around the globe,” he added.

While he continues his recovery, Kyereh remains hopeful of returning to the Black Stars setup and contributing to the team’s future success.
