Black Princesses Cruise Past Tunisia to Reach Third Round of U20 World Cup Qualifiers
Ghana’s Black Princesses have secured a spot in the third round of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers after easing past Tunisia with a 4-0 aggregate victory.
The decisive second leg, played on Saturday, saw Ghana assert their dominance early, though wastefulness in front of goal delayed the breakthrough. Their persistence eventually paid off in the 37th minute when Mercy Attobrah calmly slotted home to put the hosts ahead.
Super-sub Agnes Yeboah made an instant impact, finding the net with her very first touch in the 46th minute to double the lead and all but seal the tie.
Although the Princesses carved out more openings as the game wore on, Tunisia’s backline stood firm to prevent further damage. Nevertheless, the 2-0 win on the day, combined with their first-leg triumph, completed a comprehensive 4-0 aggregate success.
With this result, Ghana march into the third round of qualifying, where they will face South Africa in February as the journey toward the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup intensifies.
