Ghanaian club Dreams FC travelled to Conakry in Guinea to share spoils with Milo FC De Kankan in the first leg of the 2023-24 CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round.

The encounter played on Saturday at the Stade General Lansana Conte ended 1-1, with the visitors Dreams FC taking the lead but failed to safeguard their backline.

Gael Aholou opened the scores for Dreams FC in the 21st minute but the lead was subsequently cancelled out in the final ten minutes to full time.

Speaking in a post-match conference, head coach of the club Abdul Karim Zito said he was satisfied with the outcome of game and added he wasn’t surprised with opponent’s performance since is something he anticipated before the game.

“I told you it won’t be an easy game cos Guinea is also a country known for good football so I was expecting a tougher opposition. Before I came into the game, my objective was either to win or at least draw so I’m very happy I was able to achieve the target so I’m ok.”

“It was a strategy because the way the game was moving, you will get problem if you open up so I had to play tactically to stop them from getting what they wanted.”

The Believes touched down in Ghana on Sunday and are set to prepare for the return encounter on August 27, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
