Head coach Joe Nana Adarkwa has announced a 22-player squad for Ghana’s Black Maidens ahead of their crucial FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Togo.

With preparations entering a critical phase, the team has assembled in Lomé, where they are fine-tuning strategies for Sunday’s decisive encounter at the Stade de Kégué.

The squad reflects a blend of balance and competition across all departments. In goal, Rahima Abubakari Napari, Belinda Maku Aklie, and Josephine Nyanfule will battle for the starting role, providing solid options between the posts.

Defensively, the Maidens will rely on a well-structured unit featuring Hajara Adams, Rafia Osman, and Seraphina Esse Essenam, among others, as they aim to remain compact and resilient away from home.

The midfield is expected to be anchored by Seidatu Wahab of Accra Hearts of Oak, alongside Zeinab Shani and Daniela Abass. The trio will play a pivotal role in controlling possession and connecting defence to attack, with additional depth provided by Benedicta Nketiah Danso and Mavis Yeboah.

In the final third, Ghana will look to Jessica Appiah Asamoah and Cynthia Obinsrewuo to lead the line, supported by Gloria Ameaa Adomako, Linda Achiaa, and Priscilla Mensah as the team seeks to convert chances into goals.

The Black Maidens are currently camped at the EL Doria Hotel in Baguida as they gear up for the clash, which is scheduled to kick off at 16:00 GMT on Sunday.

With qualification on the line, Ghana will be aiming to deliver a composed and clinical performance to secure a positive result on the road.
