CAF Schools Championship: Christiana Ashiaku crowned Player of the Tournament
Christiana Ashiaku has been crowned Player of the Tournament after delivering a series of standout performances to power Ghana’s U-15 girls team to glory at the 2026 CAF African Schools Football Championship in Harare.
The talented youngster was instrumental as the Black Damsels clinched back-to-back titles, overcoming Burkina Faso in a nerve-racking penalty shootout after a tightly contested final ended without goals.
Throughout the competition, Ashiaku emerged as a key figure in Ghana’s attacking setup, combining composure with creativity to influence matches at crucial moments. She found the net twice in five appearances, but her contribution went far beyond scoring.
