Austrian Bundesliga side FK Austria Vienna have confirmed the signing of Ghanaian striker Kelvin Boateng ahead of the 2025/26 football season.

The club announced the move in an official statement released on Tuesday, June 3, revealing that the 25-year-old forward has signed a four-year contract with the Violets.

“Austria Vienna has secured the first signing of Kelvin Boateng for the 2025/26 season. The 25-year-old striker is moving from Vienna to the Austrian side, signing a four-year contract with the Violets,” the club statement read.

Boateng, who joined First Vienna FC in the summer of 2023, made a strong impression in Austria’s second tier, scoring 21 goals in 43 appearances. He was particularly influential during the 2024/25 campaign, netting 11 times for the Blue and Yellows.

His consistent performances at the second-division level caught the attention of Austria Vienna, who will now look to the Ghanaian forward to inject fresh firepower into their attacking lineup.

With the move now completed, the former First Vienna striker is determined to make an impact in the top flight and prove his worth in the violet jersey.
