Young Apostles FC have officially named  Abdul Rahim Bashiru as their new head coach for the rest of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

The appointment comes after the club parted ways with Joseph Asare Bediako last month due to a poor start to their debut season in the top flight.

Young Apostles have struggled in their maiden Ghana Premier League campaign, sitting 12th on the league table with 13 points after 12 matches.

Abdul Rahim Bashiru brings a wealth of experience to the club, having previously served as an assistant coach for Great Olympics, Legon Cities, and Hearts of Oak. Notably, he stepped into the interim head coach role at Hearts of Oak after the dismissal of Dutch gaffer Martin Koopman.

Bashiru’s first challenge as head coach will be to lead Young Apostles to a positive result when they face Basake Holy Stars on Saturday, December 14, at the A.A.K II Sports Arena in Ampain.
