Executive Committee Member of the Ghana Football Association, Dr. Randy Abbey is in pole position to be named as the Minister for Youth and Sports according to close sources of nkrataasem.com

The bank roller for Ghana Premier League club, Heart of Lions is an experienced football administrator and has played a key role in the development of Ghana football over the years.

According to close sources, Dr. Randy Abbey, who is a close friend of Ibrahim Mahama, brother of President-Elect, John Dramani Mahama is the preferred choice to be named as Sports Minister.

The renowned broadcast journalist has also announced his resignation as the Managing Director of Ignite Media, the parent company of Metro TV, Original FM and Original TV. He will also step down as host of “Good Morning Ghana” from 31st December 2024.

The respected football administrator was voted member of the Ghana Football Association Executive Committee in 2019. He has also served as the Chairman of the Black Satellites management committee. Dr. Abbey has also chaired the Referees Appointment Committee and the Black Meteors Management Committee.
