Ashanti Gold SC places injunction on upcoming GFA's upcoming league

Ghanaian club Ashanti Gold SC have placed Interlocutory injunction on the upcoming 2023-24 BetPawa Premier League. The outfit secured court injunction from superior court of Judicature in the High Court of Justice in Accra.

The Miner’s were demoted to third-tier league of the country’s following match manipulation in the 2020-21 league season with Inter Allies FC.

The Obuasi based club took the Ghana Football Association to court over injustice and defamation of character. The GFA placed banned on the club President and CEO, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong and Emmanuel Frimpong with 10-years and 8-years respectively.

The matter which is already in court, is yet to be resolved for ruling to be discharged.

Nonetheless, Ashanti Gold SC have secured an order to place injunction on the upcoming league from being played.

“Motion on notice for an interlocutory injunction under order. 25 of the high Court (Civil procedure).
