Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has set an ambitious target of scoring 15 goals in the ongoing Premier League season after a scintillating start to the campaign with AFC Bournemouth.

The in-form striker has already registered six goals and three assists in just ten league appearances, emerging as one of Bournemouth’s standout performers under manager Andoni Iraola.

Despite Manchester City’s Erling Haaland leading the Premier League scoring charts with 13 goals, Semenyo remains confident that his consistent improvement over the past few seasons puts him in a strong position to achieve his personal target.

“Every year, I write my goals — what I want to do,” Semenyo told Sky Sports.
“I always want to do better than what I’ve done in previous seasons. I set a challenge for myself this year, and I really want to push myself.”

The 25-year-old attacker, who netted eight goals two seasons ago and 11 last term, believes his growing maturity and finishing ability will be key to reaching his new goal.

“I think I am a good finisher. I can help the team in many ways, and credit to the manager [Andoni Iraola] and all the players — they’ve been so helpful,” he added.
“Fifteen goals would be great.”

Semenyo’s explosive form has also earned him a nomination for the Premier League Goal of the Month award for October.

Following Bournemouth’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester City that ended their unbeaten run, Semenyo will be looking to lead the Cherries’ resurgence when they travel to face Aston Villa on Sunday.

His relentless drive, combined with his clinical finishing, has positioned him as one of Ghana’s most promising exports in Europe this season.
