“We can do better going forward” – Coach Prosper Nartey after Heart of Lions draw

Asante Kotoko SC head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum was in the dugout in his first game of his return to the club. He faced debutants Kpando Heart of Lions at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors failed to annex all maximum points infront of his home fans in the 2023-24 BetPawa Premier League campaign, as they got held to a goalless draw after a clean goal scored by Mustafa Yakubu for the visitors was disallowed by the assistant line one.

Speaking after the game, Ogum said he was satisfied with the performance of his players because they stick to the game plan, therefore believes they can do better subsequently.

“Yeah, I’m okay with it. I’m satisfied because we have a blend of new and old players trying to get the game model going. So, to me what I saw today is good of individual player.”

“But then we can do better. It’s good, better, best. So, what I saw was good. I’m okay with it.”

Asante Kotoko will play as guests to Bibiani Goldstars in week 2 of the league.
