Ghana U20 winger Forster Apetorgbor has affirmed the Black Satellites’ determination ahead of their crucial Group A encounter against Benin in the ongoing 2025 WAFU Zone B U20 Championship.

With the semi-finals in sight, Ghana will need at least a point to progress, while Benin face elimination unless they can secure all three points. The high-stakes fixture is set for Wednesday, July 16, at 3:00 PM GMT at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Apetorgbor emphasized the team’s focus and hunger for victory.

“We’re just going all out for a win against Benin,” he said. “We’ve worked hard in training, and the team spirit is high. We know what’s at stake and we’re not going to let this opportunity slip.”

Apetorgbor was one of Ghana’s standout players in their opening 1-1 draw against Nigeria, impressing with his speed and creativity down the flank. His attacking threat will once again be crucial as head coach Desmond Ofei’s side aim to seal a place in the last four.

With both teams fighting for survival, the encounter promises to be a fiercely contested battle, and the Black Satellites are banking on their momentum and belief to carry them through.
