Nora Häuptle reacts to Black Stars link as coach

The former Swiss International, Nora Häuptle has received applause for the level of transformation, she’s had on the senior female national team of Ghana, the Black Queens in less than seven (7) months.

Nora was appointed Ghana coach on January 5, 2023 with number of years not disclosed.

The 39-year-old former Swiss International is a product of the University of Bern, where she attained her Masters in Sports Sciences – also a Bachelor of Philosophy and Minor in Theatre Sciences. Since assuming office has seen off some challenges with the ladies, asuch helping her course to building a strong and formidable team ready to compete.

The UEFA Pro Licence holder set her tone to a brilliant start with triumph over Benin. The Black Queens beat Benin 3-0 in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

She has since, played five matches and scored 14 goals as the Black Queens team have yet to concede a single goal. On Tuesday, she walloped Guinea 4-0 at home in the CAF Women’s Olympics Games Qualifiers.

Ghana earlier in Conakry, beat Guinea 3-0 and with a 4-0 victory at the Accra Sports Stadium advance to the next stage of the qualifiers with a 7-0 aggregate.

The former Instructor for the Swiss Football Association has being applauded fir her performance and calling for her appointment as Black Stars head coach.

Speaking after Ghana game against Guinea, Nora Häuptle reacted to her link to men’s team, saying her focus is with the Black Queens and she’s making sure they excel.
