Thomas Partey Delighted After Villarreal Debut Against Aston Villa
Ghana international Thomas Partey has expressed his joy after making his first appearance for Villarreal in a pre-season clash against English Premier League side Aston Villa.
Partey, who recently completed his move to the Spanish outfit, came off the bench to mark his debut as Villarreal fell to a 2-0 defeat at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
The Premier League visitors struck in both halves to seal victory over the Yellow Submarine, who are preparing for their upcoming UEFA Champions League campaign.
“First minutes in the tank, God is good,” the Ghanaian midfielder wrote on Instagram.

Aston Villa opened the scoring in the 23rd minute through England striker Ollie Watkins, before Emiliano Buendia doubled the lead just four minutes after the restart.
With his extensive top-flight and European experience, Partey is expected to be a key figure for Villarreal in the 2025/26 season.
The former Arsenal star is well-versed in Spanish football, having spent several successful years with Atletico Madrid before moving to England. He signed a two-year contract to make a sensational return to La Liga following the expiration of his deal with Arsenal in June.
