Prominent Ghanaian football figure and owner of King Faisal Football Club, Alhaji Karim Grusah, has expressed deep concerns about the  lack of accountability within the GFA.

His comments comes at the back of the remarks made by GFA Executive Member, Nana Sarfo Oduro concerning the GFA being only accountable to member clubs and not fans or Ghanaians.

“The Ghana Football Association is accountable to the football people. It is an organization. We are accountable to each and every football club. The association is made of individual clubs. We are not accountable to supporters or Ghanaians,” Oduro stated.

In response to Sarfo Oduro’s comments, Alhaji Grusah  pointed to what he described as a lack of accountability within the GFA, criticizing the association’s handling of transparency and culture of silence at congress.

“The clubs in Ghana are useless clubs, we dont have sponsorships, we can’t buy balls, When we go to congress, they (GFA) don’t account anything to us and nobody is allowed to speak or ask questions.” He told Asempa FM.

He added that Sarfo Oduro’s comments is an opportunity for the clubs demand accurate accountability from the leaders of the Football Association.

“What Sarfo Oduro said on accountability will make the clubs come back to their senses.” He added.
