Ghanaian defender Terry Yegbe has reacted to growing speculation linking him with a move to the English Premier League, insisting that his immediate focus remains firmly on his current club, IF Elfsborg.

The 24-year-old centre-back has reportedly attracted interest from top-flight English clubs including Brighton & Hove Albion, Fulham, and Crystal Palace following a string of impressive performances in the Swedish Allsvenskan.

However, Yegbe, who is under contract with Elfsborg until 2028, has poured cold water on the swirling rumours for now.

Speaking in an interview with Fotbollskanalen, Yegbe made it clear that while he’s flattered by the attention, his priority is helping his team perform well this season.

“I’m just focusing on Elfsborg right now and making sure the team finishes as high as possible in the league,” he said. “I also want to keep improving as a player. I don’t know what will happen in the summer or in the future.”

Yegbe admitted that interest from Premier League clubs is a positive sign but revealed that no official contact has been made.

“If those types of teams are interested, it’s obviously positive news,” he added. “I haven’t heard anything yet, but when big clubs show interest in you, it’s always a good thing.”

“My goal is simply to reach the highest level,” Yegbe stated. “But I know I need to keep working and developing to get there.”

As the summer transfer window approaches, eyes will remain on the promising Ghanaian, but for now, Yegbe remains grounded and committed to his journey with Elfsborg.
