Minister of Youth and Sports Kofi Adams has rallied the Black Stars to go all out for victory when they face Comoros in their final 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 12.

Ghana will head into the decisive clash aiming to seal qualification for next year’s World Cup while also seeking revenge for two painful defeats to the island nation — first at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon and again during the early stages of the ongoing qualifiers in Moroni.

Speaking in an interview with Adom FM, Mr. Adams, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency, charged the team to approach the game with both determination and discipline.

“On Sunday, it is a revenge against Comoros. We have lost to them twice, and that was during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and the second game of the qualifiers in Moroni, and so we need to win on Sunday,” he said.

While expressing confidence in the Black Stars’ ability to deliver, the Minister cautioned against complacency.

“But then also, we have to tread cautiously against Comoros not to think that we have goal advantage over the teams, but the point is that we must get revenge against them.”

Mr. Adams also appealed to Ghanaians to come out in full force to support the national team as they aim to return to the global stage.

“I urge Ghanaians to come to the Accra Sports Stadium in their numbers to support the team.”

The Black Stars currently top Group I with 22 points and need at least a draw to confirm their qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
