Sports and Recreation Minister-Designate Kofi Iddie Adams has reaffirmed the Ministry is not exempted from the government’s anti-corruption initiatives, including the Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) and Operation Prevent Asset Losses (OPAL) campaigns.

Speaking on the sidelines of the 2025 Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) elections on January 23, Adams emphasized that the sports sector is not exempt from accountability measures.

“ORAL and OPAL operate in every facet of the country. Once we have any information that needs to be looked into, everything will be looked into,” he stated.

“Sports is part of the activities that we do in this country, and no activity is off the radar of checking for the right things to be done. So, we cannot exclude anything. Nothing is excluded.”

The anti-corruption initiatives led by the National Democratic Congress (NDC)-led government aim to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency across all sectors, including sports.

The inclusion of the Ministry of Sports underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring good governance in all areas.
