The Servette FC centre-back took time to interact with the players, delivering a message centered on focus, discipline, and hard work. He urged the team to stay committed to their development and make the most of the opportunity to represent Ghana on the international stage.

Kasim emphasized that perseverance and consistency are essential for success, drawing from his own journey in professional football.

The Ghana U-19 team is currently in Basel for a series of friendly matches, a product of the Ghana Football Association’s partnership with Swiss football authorities. The initiative is aimed at providing international exposure to young Ghanaian talents.

In their opening game on Wednesday, the side lost 3-1 to Basel’s U-21 team, but they are expected to bounce back when they face Basel’s U-19 side on Friday, July 25, 2025.

Kasim Adams, who made his Black Stars debut in November 2017, famously scored in Ghana’s 3-0 victory over Saudi Arabia. With 11 senior caps to his name, his visit to the youth side was not only symbolic but also inspirational, as he shared valuable experiences with the players striving to follow in his footsteps.

The initiative reflects a growing commitment within Ghanaian football to foster mentorship.
