Samuel Boadu Hails Chelsea’s Fighting Spirit After Vital Win Over Medeama
Head coach Samuel Boadu has praised the determination shown by Berekum Chelsea after their important 2-1 victory over league leaders Medeama SC at the Golden City Park.
The result handed the Blues a significant boost in their battle against relegation, moving them out of the danger zone at a critical stage of the Ghana Premier League season.
Facing one of the division’s most in-form sides, Berekum Chelsea approached the encounter knowing that anything less than a positive result would increase pressure in the closing weeks of the campaign.
Speaking after the match, Boadu acknowledged the challenge posed by Medeama and applauded both the players and supporters for their role in securing the victory.
“I thank the supporters in Berekum and all around the globe. It was a very difficult game. Medeama are in good shape. They are the league leaders, and we are also struggling at the bottom.
“We decided not to lose this match. At all costs, we wanted to win this game to lift ourselves in the league table,” Boadu said.
The victory has revived confidence within the Berekum Chelsea camp as the club continues its fight to retain top-flight status.
Attention now shifts to maintaining consistency in the remaining fixtures, with Boadu expected to demand the same intensity and commitment from his players as the relegation battle tightens.
