Asante Kotoko have intensified preparations ahead of their highly anticipated Super Clash against Hearts of Oak, with interim head coach Prince Owusu expressing confidence in the team’s readiness for the weekend showdown.

The Porcupine Warriors are gearing up for the Week 22 Ghana Premier League fixture at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, where they will aim to bounce back from last weekend’s disappointment in the MTN FA Cup and reignite their league campaign.

In a pre-match interview, Owusu stressed the importance of returning to winning ways, noting that the clash with their eternal rivals presents an opportunity to regain momentum and narrow the gap at the top of the table.

“I think we are ready. We have started training today to face Hearts of Oak. In the last game we played, we didn’t have our way. Things didn’t go well for us. We have to make amendments, and we are ready to work hard this week so that we can close up the gap and get the win from Hearts of Oak,” he told AKSC Media.

The Super Clash is scheduled for Sunday, February 15, with kick-off set for 17:00 GMT at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, where a packed crowd is expected to witness another chapter in Ghana’s most storied football rivalry.
