Otto Addo Visits Fatawu Issahaku and Jordan Ayew
Black Stars head coach Otto Addo recently visited Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and his teammate Jordan Ayew as part of efforts to maintain strong relations with national team players.
Fatawu Issahaku, who is sidelined for the rest of the season, is currently undergoing rehabilitation after sustaining a serious knee injury during Ghana’s Matchday Five Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola in Luanda.
The 24-year-old winger’s injury has been a major blow to both his club and country. It has also ruled him out of Ghana’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar, scheduled for March next year.
On a positive note, Jordan Ayew has fully recovered from the injury he suffered during Ghana’s AFCON qualifier against Angola on November 16, 2024. The experienced forward has rejoined Leicester City and is already back in training, much to the delight of his club and national team.
Coach Otto Addo’s visit underscores his commitment to the holistic development of his squad.
