Brandon Thomas-Asante continued his impressive scoring run in the English Championship, finding the net as Coventry City F.C. secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Preston North End F.C. at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

The home side had already seized the initiative in the 17th minute when Tatsuhiro Sakamoto opened the scoring, giving the Sky Blues early control of proceedings.

Thomas-Asante then added to the advantage in the 34th minute, timing his run perfectly before finishing confidently inside the box to double Coventry’s lead and leave Preston with a mountain to climb before the interval.

In the 50th minute, Matt Grimes stepped up to calmly convert from the penalty spot, stretching Coventry’s lead to three and putting the result beyond doubt.

Thomas-Asante’s latest strike brings his tally for the 2025/26 Championship season to 11 goals and four assists in 24 appearances, further cementing his reputation as one of the division’s most consistent attacking performers.

The win also strengthens Coventry’s push for promotion as they look ahead to their next league assignment.
