Ghana head coach Otto Addo has unveiled his squad for the final stretch of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, with Kojo Peprah Oppong, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, and Alidu Seidu among the notable inclusions.

Peprah Oppong, the 21-year-old forward excelling with OGC Nice in France, earns another call-up after a fine run of form in Ligue 1. The youngster, who began his career with Attram De Visser in Ghana’s Division One League before moving abroad, has been praised for his consistency and sharp attacking play this season.

Also returning to the fold is Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku. The 20-year-old had been sidelined since November with an anterior cruciate ligament injury but has made a strong comeback in England’s Championship, forcing his way back into the national team picture.

Clermont Foot defender Alidu Seidu has likewise shaken off a persistent knee injury to reclaim his spot after nearly a year away from international duty.

There is also a fresh face in the squad, with Medeama SC’s in-form midfielder Prince Owusu earning his maiden invitation. His strong performances in the ongoing Ghana Premier League have convinced the technical team to hand him a debut opportunity.

The Black Stars will first travel to Morocco to face the Central African Republic at Stade d’Honneur de Meknes on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, with kick-off scheduled for 16:00 GMT. They will then return home to host Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 19:00 GMT.

Ghana currently leads Group I with 19 points and remains firmly in contention for a fifth appearance at the FIFA World Cup, with just two matches left to play in the qualification series.
