Former player for the Black Stars of Ghana, Stephen Frimpong Manso has advised coach Otto Addo to exclude players who are uncommitted in the AFCON qualifiers from the World Cup qualifiers.

There have been recent backlash on some players in the team who the public have tagged as uncommitted. In recent times, some Black Stars players have withdrawn from the squad due to personal reasons and injuries.

The four-time African Champions are on the verge of not qualifying for the AFCON in Morocco but are performing well in the World Cup qualifiers. Frimpong Manso has opined that players who are not committed to AFCON course should not be included for the World Cup journey.

“We have been seeing players who don’t play well for Ghana but give their all the following weekend for their club side in Europe.” He told GHOne TV.

“Players who are not committed in the AFCON qualifiers should not be considered for the World Cup qualifiers because that is where every player dreams of playing one day. We need to be frank with them and tell them.”  Frimpomg Manso added.

Ghana will play against Angola tonight at 19:00 GMT.
