Ghana international Osman Bukari has spoken of his excitement after completing a return to Serbian powerhouse Red Star Belgrade, promising supporters that he is ready to write another successful chapter with the club.

The 27-year-old winger has rejoined the Serbian champions on a one-year loan deal with an option to make the move permanent, bringing an end to his spell in Major League Soccer with Austin FC.

Bukari’s return sees him reunite with a club where he previously enjoyed tremendous success and established himself as one of the team’s most influential attacking players.

Moments after sealing the transfer, the Black Stars winger shared an emotional message on social media, expressing his happiness at returning to familiar surroundings.

“Back home. Once a Red, always a Red. Let’s create memories together again. Alhamdulillah for everything,” Bukari posted on X.

The Ghanaian first arrived at Red Star in 2022 and quickly became a fan favourite through his pace, creativity and eye for goal.

During his initial two-year spell, Bukari made 78 appearances across all competitions, scoring 25 goals and providing 20 assists as he helped the club maintain its dominance in Serbian football.

His performances also earned him opportunities on the European stage before securing a move to Austin FC in Major League Soccer.

Now back in Belgrade, Bukari is expected to strengthen Red Star’s attack as the club prepares for another campaign in the Serbian SuperLiga and European competitions.

The winger will be looking to rediscover the form that made him one of the league’s standout performers while helping the club compete for more domestic and continental honours.

On the international stage, Bukari has become an important figure for the Black Stars since making his senior debut in 2021.

He has accumulated 19 appearances for Ghana and scored three international goals, establishing himself as one of the national team’s most dangerous attacking options.

With his return to Red Star now complete, Bukari will be hoping to deliver more memorable performances and help the Serbian giants continue their pursuit of silverware both at home and in Europe.
