Osei Kuffuor Confident Aduana FC Can Secure League and FA Cup Double
Samuel Osei Kuffuor believes Aduana Stars F.C. have what it takes to finish the 2025/26 season with both major domestic trophies, expressing confidence in the club’s pursuit of the Ghana Premier League title and the Ghana FA Cup.
The Dormaa-based side has emerged as one of the most consistent teams in Ghanaian football this season, producing strong performances across competitions. After 25 league matches, Aduana Stars occupy third place with 41 points, remaining firmly in contention for the title as they trail leaders Medeama S.C. by five points in what is shaping up to be a closely fought race.
Alongside their league push, Aduana have also advanced to the quarterfinal stage of the FA Cup, keeping alive their hopes of completing a memorable domestic double before the campaign concludes.
Looking ahead to the decisive weeks of the season, Kuffuor is confident the team can deliver on its ambitions if supporters continue to rally behind the players.
“We promised to win both the FA Cup and the Ghana Premier League at the end of the season. I will plead with the fans to cheer us to success,” Kuffuor said.
Despite the gap at the top of the table, the defender remains optimistic that Aduana can still overtake their rivals as the season enters its final stretch.
“We are still hopeful of winning the league because the season is not over yet. The points gap gives us an equal opportunity to fight and win the league.”
Attention will now turn to their upcoming FA Cup assignment, where Aduana Stars will face Techiman Liberty Youth FC in the quarterfinals this weekend at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park as they aim to take another step toward silverware.
