Nana Kwame Dankwah, General Manager of Okwawu United, has expressed gratitude to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for providing the club with a bus, despite recent criticisms over its condition.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) yesterday presented buses to nine Division One League clubs in a bid to support their operations and enhance football development.
The presentation ceremony, held with members of the GFA Executive Council in attendance, fulfilled a promise made by GFA President Kurt Okraku during the 29th Ordinary Congress in Kumasi last year.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Nana Dankwah shared his personal experience with the bus, dispelling claims that it was in poor condition.
“I personally drove the bus. It is not a brand-new vehicle, but the interior isn’t as bad as some pictures circulating on social media suggest. We at Okwawu United are grateful to the GFA,” he stated.
The GFA recently handed over buses to nine clubs from the Ghana Premier League and Division One League as part of its initiative to improve club logistics and operational efficiency. While the gesture has been widely appreciated, some criticisms arose regarding the state of the vehicles provided.
