Hearts of Oak part ways with Didi Dramani after technical review
Hearts of Oak have officially confirmed the departure of head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani and his technical staff following the end of the 2025/26 football season.
The decision was announced in a statement issued by the club on Tuesday after what management described as a detailed assessment of the team’s performance during the campaign.
“Hearts of Oak SC wishes to announce that, following a comprehensive technical review of the 2025/26 football season, the Board has decided to part ways with the Technical Team led by Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani,” the statement said.
The Phobians also expressed gratitude to Dramani and his assistants for their contribution, professionalism and commitment during their spell with the club.
Dramani took charge of Hearts in June 2025 on a two-year contract as part of a rebuilding project aimed at restoring the club’s competitiveness in Ghanaian football.
During his only season in charge, Hearts showed signs of progress and ended the campaign in third place in the Ghana Premier League standings. However, the club narrowly missed out on both the league title and qualification for continental competition.

Despite the relative improvement, the club’s board has opted to pursue a different technical direction ahead of the new season.
“The Board will, in due course, communicate the technical direction of the club as we continue to align our football philosophy with the long-term ambitions and identity of Accra Hearts of Oak SC,” the statement added.
The club further confirmed that players and officials are currently on break while preparations continue for the next phase of restructuring.
Dramani departs with a strong reputation within African football, having previously worked with Asante Kotoko and served as an assistant coach of the Black Stars, in addition to his role as a respected CAF technical instructor.
