Emmanuel Annor says he is determined to earn a place in the Ghana national football team after a standout campaign with Nations FC in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

The winger has been one of the most exciting attacking players in the league this season, delivering consistent performances for the Abrankese-based side.

Annor has scored nine goals in 20 league matches, emerging as a crucial figure in Nations FC’s push to finish the campaign strongly.

His impressive form has sparked calls from sections of the local football community for him to be considered for the national team, particularly with international friendlies expected ahead of upcoming global competitions.

Speaking in an interview, Annor admitted he feels honoured to be mentioned as a potential candidate for the national team and believes maintaining his current level will increase his chances of attracting the attention of Black Stars head coach Otto Addo.

“I feel proud to be linked with a Black Stars invitation. As a local player, being recognised as a potential part of the national team is a big plus for me. I believe it will become possible if I continue to maintain my form. It’s not easy, but with God everything is possible, and with the hard work I am putting in, I know everything will work out well for me,” he said.

Annor will have another opportunity to showcase his talent this weekend when Nations FC face Berekum Chelsea F.C. in the quarterfinals of the Ghana FA Cup on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
