MTN Ghana Becomes Headline Sponsor for Ghana’s Four National Football Teams
MTN Ghana has been officially unveiled as the headline sponsor for Ghana’s four national football teams – the Black Stars, Black Queens, Black Satellites, and Black Starlets – in a landmark partnership aimed at boosting the country’s football fortunes.
The announcement was made on Thursday, August 14, 2025, in Accra, with MTN Ghana CEO Stephen Blewett expressing pride in partnering with what he described as Ghana’s most celebrated sporting brand.
The agreement covers the senior men’s team (Black Stars), senior women’s team (Black Queens), the under-20 men’s team (Black Satellites), and the under-17 men’s team (Black Starlets).
“Football is a passion that connects the whole country, and MTN is proud to be part of the journey to take our teams to greater heights,” Blewett said, stressing that the partnership goes beyond funding to inspiring future generations of Ghanaian footballers.
The sponsorship will provide essential financial and logistical support to the teams as they prepare for upcoming tournaments and qualifiers.
