MTN FA Cup: Winfred Dormon Anticipates Tough FA Cup Test Against Heart of Lions
Head coach of Dreams FC, Winfred Dormon, has acknowledged that his side faces a difficult task as they prepare for their quarterfinal clash in the MTN FA Cup.
Dreams FC will take on Heart of Lions FC this weekend at the Cape Coast Stadium, with a place in the semifinals of the competition up for grabs.
Speaking to Dreams FC TV ahead of the match, Dormon admitted his side is fully aware of the challenge that awaits them.
“We expect a very difficult challenge,” he said bluntly.
The two clubs have already faced each other in the Ghana Premier League this season, sharing contrasting results in their meetings.
“In the league, we went there and lost 1-0. That was painful. But in the second meeting, we won 3-0. So we know what they’re capable of, and they know what we can do.”
Despite the respect for their opponents, the Dreams FC coach remains confident that his team has the quality to progress to the next stage of the competition.
“We have to be optimistic but also cautious. We believe in the players we have. We believe we can go to Cape Coast, play our game, and win.”
Sunday’s quarterfinal encounter is scheduled to kick off at 3pm, with both teams aiming to secure a semifinal berth and move a step closer to lifting the FA Cup trophy
