True Democracy will be looking to extend their fairytale run in the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup when they take on Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in the quarterfinals on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Tema-based side, making their first-ever appearance at this stage of the competition, have been one of the tournament’s biggest surprises. They have already knocked out former champions FC Nania and defending holders Dreams FC, proving their resilience and ability to compete against top teams.

Their cup run began with a 2-0 victory over Kwahu Rangers, followed by impressive wins against Koforidua Semper Fi, Dreams FC, and FC Nania, securing them a place in the last eight.

Asante Kotoko, leaders of the Ghana Premier League, come into this fixture in top form and will be aiming to end True Democracy’s dream run. Returnee striker Kwame Poku has been a key attacking threat, while midfield dynamo Justice Blay, defensive stalwart Samuel Tenedu, and captain Frederick Asare provide stability in all areas of the pitch.

This exciting quarterfinal showdown is set to kick off at 7:00 pm at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
