Aduana FC have confirmed the appointment of Samuel Boadu as the club’s new head coach as the Dormaa-based side begins preparations for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.

The announcement brings an end to speculation surrounding the future of the highly regarded Ghanaian tactician, who becomes the latest man tasked with leading the Ogya Boys back into contention for domestic honours.

Boadu arrives at Aduana after concluding his stint with Berekum Chelsea, where he oversaw the club during the latter part of the 2025/26 season. His final game in charge ended in a 2-1 defeat against league champions Medeama SC.

The former Hearts of Oak coach takes over from Cioba Aristica and is expected to spearhead a rebuilding process aimed at restoring Aduana’s status among the leading forces in Ghanaian football.

Widely regarded as one of the country’s most accomplished coaches, Boadu brings a wealth of experience and a proven record of success at the highest level of the domestic game.

His most notable achievements came during his time at Hearts of Oak, where he guided the Phobians to a memorable Ghana Premier League and FA Cup double in 2021. He later added another FA Cup title before departing the Accra-based club in 2022.

Aduana’s management believes his track record, tactical expertise and winning mentality make him the ideal candidate to lead the club into a new era.

The Ogya Boys experienced an inconsistent 2025/26 campaign, eventually finishing ninth in the league standings after registering 14 victories, 10 draws and 10 defeats from their 34 matches.

Club officials are hopeful Boadu can inject renewed energy into the squad and build a team capable of challenging at the top end of the table once again.

His arrival also adds another championship-winning coach to Aduana’s history, following the path previously taken by former league-winning manager Paa Kwesi Fabian.

With preseason preparations already underway, Boadu is expected to begin work immediately as he assesses his squad and identifies areas requiring reinforcement ahead of the new season.

Supporters will be eager to see whether the experienced coach can replicate the success he enjoyed elsewhere and guide Aduana FC back into the race for major trophies.
