Medeama Sign Midfielder Blessing Dwamena on Three-Year Deal
Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC have strengthened their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season with the signing of promising midfielder Blessing Kwabena Dwamena.
The Tarkwa-based club confirmed the acquisition on Monday, August 10, with Dwamena signing a three-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2029.
The young central midfielder joins Medeama after spending the past three seasons with Sunyani Aston Villa, where he developed into one of the club’s promising talents.
“Medeama Sporting Club is delighted to announce the signing of talented central midfielder Blessing Kwabena Dwamena on a three-year contract.
“The midfielder joins the Mauves following a three-year spell with Sunyani Aston Villa, where he developed and established himself as a promising young talent.
“Everyone at Medeama Sporting Club welcomes Blessing Kwabena Dwamena to Tarkwa and wishes him a successful and rewarding spell with the club,” the club said in an official statement.
Dwamena is expected to add energy, creativity and composure to Medeama’s midfield while providing the team with greater depth ahead of a demanding campaign.
The club also believes his technical qualities, versatility and work ethic will make him an important addition to the squad as Medeama prepare for both domestic and continental competition.
Medeama face a particularly challenging 2026/27 season, having secured the Ghana Premier League title and earning the opportunity to represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League.
The arrival of Dwamena is therefore part of the club’s broader strategy to build a squad capable of competing on multiple fronts.
The midfielder will now look to settle quickly into his new surroundings and justify the confidence placed in him as Medeama prepare for another demanding season.
