Mahala Football Academy President Kwadwo Poku 'Mahala' reacts to Division One League Play-Off

President of Mahala Football Academy, Kwadwo Poku ‘Mahala’, has reacted to the opportunity to participate in a play off that will see one club take the slot of WAFA, who has officially withdrawn from partaking in Division One League henceforth.

The opportunity has being offered to Mahala Football Academy and two other teams, thus Team Move FC and Young Red Bull FC on Tuesday, August 8 2023 in a letter from the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Mahala Football Academy likewise, the other clubs are losing finalist of their respective Regional Middle league( Ashanti Region, Western Region and Central Region).

“We lost the final to a team we didn’t lose to during the season, I mean PAC Academy. We were in the same zone and we had four points from them in two games, unfortunately we lost to them in the final that is Football”

“But there is an opportunity to make a step further and it is, now”

“I personally think, its a great opportunity for the team to make history and record for ourselves. I won’t say, we’ve come a long way but when we achieve this it will be one well of recognising” So, we will participate and we’re in to compete for the slot to Division One, trust me”, he told mahalafootballacademy.org

Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association have yet to confirm date and venue for the play offs.
