Kurt Okraku Motivates Police Ladies Ahead of WAFU B Women’s Champions League Qualifiers
Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has urged Police Ladies to approach the upcoming WAFU B Women’s Champions League Qualifiers with confidence and determination.
The GFA boss visited the team’s training session as part of efforts to boost morale ahead of their maiden appearance in the regional competition. Police Ladies, champions of the 2024/25 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, will represent Ghana in the qualifiers scheduled to take place in Côte d’Ivoire.
Speaking to the players, Okraku encouraged them to believe in their quality and focus on their strengths as they prepare for the crucial tournament.
“The opposition that will confront you in Côte d’Ivoire is not better than you are,” Okraku said, emphasizing the team’s potential to succeed on the continental stage.
Police Ladies have been drawn into Group B alongside Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens, Association Sportive de La Kozah from Togo, and Sam Nelly of Benin. The competition kicks off on August 23, 2025, in Yamoussoukro.
