Speaking exclusively to Kobby Stonne, the GFA President revealed how delighted he was by the team’s performance, describing the result as a major milestone for women’s football in Ghana.

“The Black Queens are doing so well. I couldn’t sleep when they beat Egypt in the first leg because I was very happy, and I believe they will qualify for the AFCON,” Okraku said.

He added that the victory is a clear reflection of the effort and investment being made to develop the women’s game across the country.

“I am happy all the attention and investment we have put into women’s football is working. Winning 3-0 in Egypt in the first leg was a big achievement,” he noted.

Okraku further called on Ghanaians to rally behind the team as they prepare for the second leg in Accra, emphasizing that national support is crucial to ensure qualification.

“We need to support them in the second leg for them to secure their spot in the WAFCON,” he urged.
