James Akwasi Appiah appointed head coach of Sudan national team

Former Ghana national team head coach, James AKwasi Appiah has landed a job in Sudan as their senior national team boss, Nkrataasem.com understands.

The experienced Ghanaian gaffer who previously played for Asante Kotoko SC and Black Stars during his playing days has been appointed as manager for the Sudanese national team by the Sudanese Football Association.

The football association has offered the former Asante Kotoko SC and Khartoum manager a three-year contract, following a successful agreement.

Following his big reputation and success story in Sudan during his days managing top-flight club FC Khartoum has secured the trust of the authorities, who strongly believe Akwasi Appiah can develop their game for them and identify players who will build a core of national team.

Appiah last major coaching job was in 2017 to 2020, when he made a return to manage the Black Stars. He has since, taken the role of sporting director helping Kenpong Football Academy for the past three years.

He recently, got appointed to put up an Interim Management Committee (IMC) for Ghana Premier League giant’s Asante Kotoko SC.
