Injury Blow for Oduro as Barcelona Atletic Defender Ruled Out for Weeks
Ghanaian prospect David Oduro has been dealt a setback in his development at Barça Atlètic after sustaining an injury that will sideline him for several weeks.
The young left-back, who previously featured for Accra Lions, has suffered a muscular problem in the adductor of his left leg, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.
Confirming the development, the Spanish club provided an update on the defender’s condition and expected recovery timeline.
“Barça Atlètic player David Oduro has a muscular injury in the adductor of his left leg. The estimated recovery time will be between two and three weeks,” the club announced.
The 19-year-old has been a key figure for the youth side this campaign, making 21 appearances while contributing a goal and an assist, underlining his growing influence within the squad.
Oduro’s impressive performances had not gone unnoticed, earning him an opportunity to train with the senior team under head coach Hansi Flick, a sign of the club’s belief in his potential.
