Newly appointed Managing Director of Hearts of Oak, Julius Ben Emunah, has assured the playing body of his full support, pledging solidarity with the squad as they push for success in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.

Emunah, who was officially unveiled earlier this week, takes over from Dr. Delali Anku-Adiamah following the expiration of his contract last month. One of his first major engagements in the role saw him visit the team at the Kpobiman Training Centre, where he delivered a brief but heartfelt message to the players.

Addressing the squad, the new MD emphasized his deep connection to the game and his understanding of the demands placed on footballers.

“My words are very few. What I want to tell you is that I am one of you. I had a dream to be a footballer. I have played before, but unfortunately, I had to stop early,” he said.

Emunah further highlighted his lifelong involvement in football, noting that his experience positions him to relate closely with the challenges the players face.

“I have been priviledged and that is what I always say because my whole professional career has been in football, so I understand what it takes to do football, and I understand what it takes to be a good footballer,” he stated.

He also reminded the players of the club’s rich heritage and the rewards that come with total commitment.

“But as we know, this club and it history, if you serve this club wholeheartedly, heaven will favour you as well.”

Hearts of Oak are currently intensifying preparations for their highly anticipated Matchday 22 Super Clash against arch-rivals Asante Kotoko, scheduled for next Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
